Michael Wayne "Mike" Stevens, 64, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at his home in Scottsburg, Indiana with his family by his side. A beloved husband, father, papaw, brother, and member of our community leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and strength. He was born on April 19, 1961, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late John Stevens, Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Ware) Stevens. Mike graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School in 1979. On August 2, 1980, Mike married the love of his life, Rita Campbell, and she survives. He started his career as a Team Lead and went on to work for AISIN for over twenty years. Mike dedicated his life not only to his family but also to his community. He was a proud and devoted father to his three sons, and a loving papaw to his ten grandchildren. A lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Scottsburg, Mike was committed to his faith. His first Sunday in life was spent within the warm embrace of the church that would be his spiritual home for the entirety of his days. Over more than two decades, he served joyfully as a Deacon and later as an Elder, always striving to emulate the teachings of Jesus. In 2008, he founded New Creation Addiction Ministries, a testament to his commitment to helping others find hope and healing. Beyond his spiritual commitments, Mike was known for his love of the outdoors and the joy he found in road trips, where he enjoyed exploring new places and making memories. His warm smile and gift of encouragement touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Avendano; and one brother, Charlie Stevens. In addition to his wife, Rita, Mike is survived by his three sons, Jeremy (Nikki) Stevens, Justin (Chelsea) Stevens, and Jeff (Dana) Stevens; five siblings, Christine (Joe) Barger, John Stevens, Dorothy Harris, Donald Stevens, and Joe Stevens; ten grandchildren, Kenzie, Zeb, Ellie, Micaiah, Lucy, Asher, Judah, Dax, Cana, and Ezra; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mike Stevens will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00am at the First Christian Church of Scottsburg, Indiana.
