One of Michael's greatest pleasures was working with his hands and staying busy. Whether on the job or helping out a friend, he never shied away from a task.
Michael was a man who found joy in the everyday. He had a tireless work ethic, a quick wit, and a signature grin that often came just before one of his jokes. He loved to make people laugh, and he was good at it. Brother Michael Thomas was a great brother who was a faithful and supportive member of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia in Landmark Lodge No. 64 in Dublin, Georgia. He joined Landmark Lodge No. 64 on August 6, 1997. He served 28 years in the Lodge.
He was also an entrepreneur who owned and operated multiple businesses. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie B, David, Parker Lee, Ulysses, and a sister, Rebecca.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Thomas of Montrose Ga, his 3 daughters, LaKendra Thomas of Dublin, Ga, Shaniqua Wadley of Cochran, Ga, Luna Thomas and her mother Fatimata Ouedraogo of Savannah, Ga, son Denario Reeves of Sandersville, Ga, and a stepson Mathis, 3 granddaughters Kaliyah Surry of Dublin, Ga, Shaniya Reeves and Kenari Reeves of Sandersville, Ga, his sisters Harriet (David) Pryor of Macon, Ga, Daisy (Joe) Stuckey of Dublin, Ga, Joanne Thomas of Montrose, Ga, his brothers, Marion Thomas of Montrose, Ga, Wendell Thomas of Mississippi, and Phillip (Angela) Thomas of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
