Michael Jess Vallejo left peacefully to Jesus on July 3, 2025 with his loving wife at his side in his own home.
He was born to Jess and Helen Vallejo on October 30, 1954 in Alliance, Nebraska.
He worked for Burlington-Northern Railroad for 38 years and had 10 years of retirement. He loved all kinds of sports but his Husker Football was number one with wrestling being number 2. Mike was very soft hearted and everyone loved him. During his youth he played in little league baseball and lettered in high school football. He loved music especially the 60's and his cousin Mark Vallejo's band and during his youth was in a band with a group of friends. He was an avid animal lover as he has a dog, cat and a stray dove that came home with him with a broken wing and is still living after many years. He also loved his Harley Davidson and rode many times.
His survivors include his wife, Ramona "Mona" Vallejo, daughter, Sarah Kay (Keith) Wernsman, 2 step-daughters, Rebecca Ann (Desmond) Grant, Rachel Marie (Tony) Mireles, brothers-in-law, Stan Wagner, Terry and Debra Frohman and sister-in-law, Rhonda and Chuck Hamm. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jaydon Grant, Sanaa Grant, Ariel Mireles, Payton Mireles, Avion Mireles and 1 great-grandchild, Jaydon "Duece" Grant, Jr. and niece Nichole (Joel) Brown and nephew, Cole Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Helen Wagner, an infant brother and many cousins.
Wake service will be Sunday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Matt Koperski officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Casual and Husker attire is encouraged as Mike would have loved that.
Memorials may be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
