Michael Charles Zanowic, age 58, of Bridgeville, Delaware, passed away at home on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Born on January 27, 1967, in North Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the beloved son of James and Maryann (Briant) Zanowic. Michael was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, whose quiet strength and warm heart left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Michael married the love of his life, Lynne Denise (Farrell) Zanowic, on May 27, 1995, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Their bond was one of deep respect and enduring partnership, and they created a strong and loving home for their family.
Michael was the owner and manager of a gasoline station in Wall, New Jersey. In his role, he served his community with integrity and care, earning a reputation for his reliability, honesty, and friendly demeanor. He forged many lasting relationships through his work and took great pride in what he did.
Michael was also a passionate sports fan - especially of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles - and he enjoyed cheering them on every season. Go Eagles! Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 30 years, Lynne Zanowic of Bridgeville, Delaware; his parents, James and Maryann (Briant) Zanowic of Jupiter, Florida; his two beloved sons, Zachary James Zanowic of Ashland, Virginia, and Jacob Michael Zanowic of Richmond, Virginia; and his dear siblings: Sue Zanowic Setrin (Jeff) of Boca Raton, Florida; James Zanowic (Cindy) of Frankford, Delaware; and Peter Zanowic (Mary) of Brick, New Jersey. Michael was also an uncle to several nephews and one niece, each of whom he cared for dearly.
He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Tommy Zanowic, whose memory he held close to his heart.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered for his quick-witted humor, generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family.
