Mike Torres Obituary

Beloved father of four, Miguel Torres Jr. of Ralls, Texas passed away on June 15, 2025 at the age of 88. He was born December 30, 1936 in San Marcos, Texas to Miguel and Maria Guerrero Torres. He married Angela Flores on July 2, 1955 in Slaton, Texas. His passion for sports and love of working outdoors led to an active and fulfilling life. When not working on outdoor projects he could be found watching the New York Yankees, his all-time favorite baseball team. Above all, Miguel cherished time spent with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A devoted Catholic, he was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls.
He is survived by; two sons, Raymond Torres of Houston, TX, James Torres and wife Sondra of Hamlin, TX; one daughter, Nancy Cherrie and husband Ernie of San Leon, TX; grandchildren Joseph Torres, Matthew Torres, Michael Torres, Justin Torres-Vigil, Jeremiah Morgan, Kyle Torres, and Eric Cherrie; great-grandchildren: Ace, Braiden, Uzziah, Tobiah, Delilah, and Airica Torres, Dalilah, Leviah, Tinley, and River Morgan; and sister, Virginia Villanueva of Lubbock.
In addition to his wife and parents, Miguel was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and his son and daughter-in-law Greg and Alice Torres.
Rosary will be held 7pm, Sunday, June 22, 2025 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Funeral Service will be 10am, Monday at St. Michael's with Father Jeganathan Arulsamy officiating. Interment will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
