Mike Whigham, 70, of Mount Dora, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025. He was born in Orlando, Florida, and has been a lifelong resident of Central Florida. Mike worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, Mike loved spending time with his family, fishing the local lakes, and cheering on his favorite football teams—the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins. His sense of humor, storytelling, and loyalty to those he loved will be deeply missed. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Whigham, and his father, Neal Whigham. He is survived by his loving companion, Maria Aguilar of Mount Dora, FL; son, Shane Whigham of Orlando, FL; brother, Tim Whigham of Windermere, FL; sister, Libby Strickland of Enterprise, AL; sister, Debora L. Herzog of Winter Garden, FL; sister, Lisa Whigham of Windermere, FL; sister, Jennifer Doran of Winter Garden, FL, 6 Nephews and 4 Nieces all of Central Florida. Services will be held at Harden Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Winter Garden Cemetery, Winter Garden.
