Mildred Gibbons Obituary

Mildred Gibbons, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the age of 95. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 5, 1929, Mildred lived a life full of love and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Wilbur Gibbons, and her daughters, Linda Kimmey of Milford, DE, and Brenda Saddler of Wilmington, NC. Mildred is survived by her children: Lee Gibbons of Elkton, MD, David Gibbons of Seaford, DE, Rose Collins of Georgetown, DE, Rita Schell of Lewes, DE, Thomas Gibbons of Milford, DE, Willie Gibbons of Brownsville, KY, and Robert Gibbons of Lewes, DE. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Robert A. Keown of Glasgow, KY.
Mildred's legacy lives on through her 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Her love, warmth, and guidance will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, Mildred will be laid to rest in her hometown of Kentucky, where she will be forever remembered with love.
