Mildred "Marlene" Ham, 84, passed away peacefully at 10:57 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Majestic Care of Bloomington.
Marlene was born on Thursday, May 1, 1941 to the late Curtis and Beryl (Turk) Sheeks in Martinsville, Indiana.
She was a 1959 graduate of Martinsville High School. Once entering the workforce after high school, Marlene held various jobs outside of the home including RCA, miscellaneous manufacturing jobs and concluded her working career with her retirement from Harman-Motive in Martinsville.
Marlene was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother that put her family first at all times. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Community Church and enjoyed gathering her family at home after church for Sunday dinner each week.
She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Joseph Irvin Ham, whom she married on June 6, 1958; her children, Marla Jo Ham (Brad Freeman) of Heltonville, Laurie Jean Johnson (Jason) of Solsberry, Todd Joseph Ham (Madison Cain) of Martinsville and Kristi Jowana Rozewicz (Mark) of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Billy, Joey, Shayla, Sara, Oliver, Jake and Claire; great grandchildren, Brantley, Kynleigh, Jazlyn Jo, Archer, Alexander and Levi.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Beryl; siblings, Curtis Frederick Sheeks, Erma June Scott, Robert Eugene Sheeks, Dwayne D. Sheeks, Doris Ann Gastineau, Janice Sheeks, Janet Harrison, Glen H. Sheeks and David Sheeks.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dewayne Elder officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville immediately following the funeral.
