Mildred Mitchell Schydzik, age 80, of Brook Park, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at her home.
Mildred was born on December 29, 1944, in Pea Patch, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Noah Matthew Mitchell and Pearl Gracie Hagerman Mitchell. Mildred was a graduate of Whitewood High School. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horst Schydzik; sisters, Naomi Lusak, and Sarah Vandyke; and brothers, Everett, Noah Matthew, Auldie, Reese, Hubbard, Dennie, Wilkie, Laymon, and Aubert Mitchell.
She is survived by:

Several family and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mildred Mitchell Schydzik will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia, with Rev. Charlie Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at the Mitchell Family Cemetery on Horse Ridge, near Pea Patch, at Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Joe Barto, Joe Fratarcangelo, Matthew Shelton, Keith Vandyke, Allen Mitchell, Dean Mitchell, Danny Mitchell, Ray Mitchell, Donald Mitchell, Ronald Mitchell, Kenny Mitchell, Jamie Ashby, and Glenn Keen. Randy Mitchell and Windell Mitchell will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
