Milton Henry Obituary

Milton Henry Jr was born January 29, 1956, in Kansas City Missouri the 2nd child born to the union of Milton and Elizabeth Henry. Born into a family of devout faith, Milton was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church. Milton attended Major Hudson Elementary School in Kansas City Kansas. He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy High School in Interlochen Michigan. Milton furthered his education at Oberlin College and Conservatory in Oberlin Ohio, by doing so led to a successful career of playing the piano for many churches in the area including Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, St Augustine's Episcopal Church, and Linwood United Church. Also, Milton loved people and worked in the Healthcare and Customer Service Industry for over 30 years. He truly enjoyed a good time and exchanging witty banter. Loved spending time at family gatherings. Some of his favorite activities were gourmet cooking, gardening, listening and playing music. Celebrating Milton's wonderful life and memories are his sister's Jane Watts, Remel Rochester, and brother Darryl Henry and his wife Ana Vallis-Henry and a host of loving nieces and nephews, family and friends. Must also mention his Angel's sent from above Sarah Starnes and Johnalita Menscher. He will be loved, missed and imprinted in the memory and hearts of all those who got the chance to know him. Milton is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Elizabeth and his sister's Irene Greer and Emma Dixon and brother-in-law Charles Dixon. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 31, 2025, 10:00am at Linwood United Christian Church. Private Disposition. Visitation from 9:00am-10:00am at the church.
