Obituary of Mary V. Kolaroff

May 26, 1944 – September 15, 2025

Mary V. Kolaroff. Age 81 of Riverview.

Mary Virginia Kolaroff passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on May 26, 1944, to her parents Mary and George Kolaroff, and her stepfather Chris.

Mary is survived by her devoted son, James Kolaroff; her beloved grandson, Thad Kolaroff; and her cherished nieces, Katie Kondakor and Mary Kondakor. She also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and Thad's close friends, whom she loved as her "adopted grandchildren." Mary is also remembered by countless dear friends who were like family to her. She is also remembered with gratitude by her former daughter-in-law, Lindsey Ames, who lovingly supported her during her time of need. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers George and Charles, her sister Helen, her sister-in-law Donna, and her nieces Charlene and Margaret.

Mary was a spunky woman with a feisty attitude, known for her many stories and her resilience through life's challenges. A hard worker, she always provided for her family in both good and difficult times, serving as a steady rock for those she loved. She had a deep faith in God and was a devoted Catholic. She especially looked forward to weekly visits from her grandson Thad and his friends, which brought laughter, joy, and many car rides around town. She loved family gatherings most of all, finding those moments with her loved ones to be the times she truly cherished.

Her family wishes to thank all of the loved ones who sent kind messages and offered support during her time of need. Though she will be deeply missed, her family is comforted by the wonderful memories she leaves behind and the assurance that she rests now with the Lord.
