Mona J. COLEMAN, 78, of Whitesville, NY, died Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Wellsville Manor Care Center.
Born October 9, 1946, in Whitesville, she was the daughter of Claude L. and Martha Teater Payne. She was married to William Errol Coleman, who predeceased her on February 15, 1999. A 1964 graduate of Whitesville Central School, she was employed as an LPN by numerous nursing homes in the area and The Arc Allegany-Steuben. Mona was a member of North Bingham Community Church.
Surviving are: three children, Lori Snyder of Crosby, TX, Larry Lee Graves of Portville, and Billie Jean Graves of Whitesville; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friend, Terry Jacobs of Whitesville; a brother, Frank (Mickie) Payne of Tucson, AZ; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by five sisters, Rose Weinhauer, Joyce Chambers, Alice Wray, Twila G. Wray, and Myrtle Kear; and four brothers, Sonny Payne, Phil Payne, Burdett Payne, and Robert J. Payne.
Services will be private. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Elmira.
Memorials may be made to North Bingham Community Church.
