Monica F. Maloney , 44, of Augusta, IL passed away peacefully at 9:45 pm Tuesday July 29, 2025 at her home in Augusta, IL after an eight month battle with cancer.
She was born on September 27, 1980 in Carthage, IL to Todd B. and Rudy Forquer Petersen. She was united in marriage to Jason Maloney on July 24, 2000 in Fulton County, IL. He survives.
Monica loved to cook. She was most at home in her restaurant, smiling and talking with the customers and employees. She was the face of Rudy’s and loved serving the community.
She is survived along with her husband Jason by 2 sons; Mike Maloney of Macomb, IL and Brian Maloney of Augusta, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday August 23, 2025 at Rudy’s Restaurant and The Stagger Inn at 510 Main St. Augusta, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
