Morris Elliott Binion II, aged 83, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away on June 29, 2025. Morris, born on October 18, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, was the eldest of four. He graduated from City High School of Brooklyn and studied accounting at NYU. His military service spanned the Navy (1958–59), Air Force in Libya (1959–63), and the New York Army National Guard (1977–94), with Honorable Discharges from each branch. Morris supported his wife Saundra and their two children while serving in the military, then worked in banking until retiring in 2003. After relocating to Pascagoula, Mississippi that year, his family became active community volunteers at organizations like Our Daily Bread and the Pascagoula Adult Learning Center. Morris participated in bowling and watched classic TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, and Everybody Loves Raymond. He also read books and was a member of the Second Liners Mardi Gras Club. Morris will be remembered for his humor, laughter, and kindness. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Morris was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Morris Sr.; his sister, Juanita; his brother, Hugh; and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Rae. Morris is survived by his wife Saundra, children Morris III and Paula, step-granddaughter Crystal, sister Margaret Gorden, brother-in-law Fred Cook III, sister-in-law Paula Evans, and numerous relatives and friends.
