Morris Ottie Wolfe was born November 11, 1940, to Vince Albert and Lucille Dell Peacock Wolfe in Selma, Drew County, Arkansas. He was a former member of the Arkansas National Guard in Desha County. He also worked at the Department of Corrections and at Davis Lumber Company many years ago. He was a retired Carpenter who built many homes in McGehee with his Father Vince and Brother Rex. Once their father retired, he and his family moved to Garland and Hot Spring Counties in 1977, continuing to work as a Carpenter. He could build houses from the ground up, do home renovations, install siding, as well as install sunrooms. He worked all over Arkansas and the surrounding States.
On April 19, 1968, he married Wanda Sue Donaldson in McGehee, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Carl and Onie Donaldson, also of McGehee. During their 57 years of marriage, they had 2 daughters, Cindy Whorton and Cathy (Rickey) Armstrong, both of Malvern.
Although growing up hunting and fishing was crucial to feeding his family, these were also his favorite hobbies. While dragging a deer back to camp in November '93, he had his first heart attack. He then gave up hunting and spent more and more time fishing. He was known to fish all over Arkansas and even Sam Reyburn in Texas. He spent many Saturdays in fishing tournaments. Up until he finally gave up fishing, he could be found every Thursday night in the Lake Catherine tournament.
Morris was predeceased by his parents Vince and Lucille Wolfe, In-Laws Carl and Onie Donaldson, son-in-law Rickey Armstrong, sister Virginia (Ginny) and her husband, Edward (Cotton) Gateley, brothers-in-law Adrian Ashley, brothers-in-laws Nick Gavin and Herb Kling, niece Carrie Carpenter Odom, and nephew Eddie Ashley.
