Muriel Josephine (Monk) Boudrie, 82, from Monroe, passed away peacefully at home on August 9th surrounded by her loved ones. Muriel was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 22nd, 1942 to Muriel and Rita (Bomia) Tandler. She married Daniel A. Boudrie Sr. on October 31st, 1959 at St. Michael's Church in Monroe. They resided in LaSalle, Michigan before moving to Apache Junction, Arizona in 1984 where they managed several senior mobile home parks. They were married 58 years before his death in 2018. Since retiring, Muriel has enjoyed painting, jewelry jars, and spending time with family; she especially loved playing Cribbage and Yahtzee with her family. She is survived by a brother, David, in Arizona, three daughters, Susan Boudrie (fiancé Roger Kimberlin), Nancy (Harry) Shlagor, both from Monroe, and Brenda (Vincent) Bauer from Carleton, a son, Daniel A. Boudrie Jr. from Paris, Tennessee, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and cherished extended family. She was preceded into death by her parents, Muriel and Rita, her husband, Daniel, and her brother, Gene. In accordance with Muriel's wishes, no services are planned at this time; there will be a celebration of her life at a later date. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Heartland Hospice, especially nurse Debbie, the staff at ProMedica Regional Hospital Monroe, as well as Muriel's home healthcare nurse Alli with Alera Caring, for the competent and compassionate care they have all provided. Those wishing to make donations in her honor are encouraged to direct them to Heartland Hospice.
