Myrtle Jacobson, 78, Fargo, ND passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Myrtle Jean Jacobson was born July 11, 1946, in Fargo, ND to Elmer and Doris Krueger. She grew up in rural Amenia, ND and attended school in Wheatland, ND.
Myrtle, or Mickey as she mostly preferred, married Kenny Jacobson on July 8, 1965, in Moorhead, MN. They started their family in Fargo, ND and moved to Cassleton, ND in 1977. She worked at the Cass County Reporter, Kerry's Sweetshop, the Central Cass School and was caretaker to younger family members. They moved to Fargo due to health reasons in 2015.
She enjoyed Elvis Presley, WWE Wrestling and the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed spending time with family and her grandkids.
Mickey is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Vicki) of Casselton, Timothy (Dorene) of Wheatland, ND and Christopher of Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers Fred (Julyn) Krueger and Glenn (Peggy) Krueger and two sisters Verny (Don) Weverka and Eileen Lyman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny, parents Elmer and Doris and three siblings.
A Life Celebration Reception will be held to remember and celebrate her life at West Funeral Home in Casselton, ND, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Burial will take place at the Wheatland Cemetery.
