Nancy Elizabeth Andrews, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at South Shore Hospital, following a long and courageous battle with dementia.
Born on March 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Veronica Barrett. Nancy was raised in Somerville, Cambridge, and Arlington, and for the past two decades made her home in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
Nancy was a devout Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. She cherished the simple joys of a good cup of tea with friends, playing cards, and her beloved "pizza meetings." She had a fondness for Hallmark movies and the QVC channel, and enjoyed ceramic painting. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and close friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony "Buddy" Andrews, her daughter Amy Remigio, and her son-in-law Louis Remigio. She was also predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Roach of Winchester, MA.
Nancy is survived by her son, Anthony "Andy" Andrews and his wife, Marisa, and by her cherished granddaughters: Danielle Remigio-McGrath and her husband, Matt, Alexandra Remigio and her fiancé, Manny Cabral and their son, Louis; and Tessa Andrews. She is also lovingly remembered by many other relatives and dear friends.
You are welcome to attend her committal service on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 12 Noon at Saint Mary Cemetery.
