Nancy L. Burton, 78, of Harrisville died, Friday, June 27, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, with family by her side. She was the widow of Bruce V. Burton.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Elsie A. (White) Goss.
Nancy worked for Traveler's Insurance for over 30 years before retiring. She was a graduate of Boston College. She was a well-loved member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Greenville where she was the Altar Guild Directress for many years. She was intelligent and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her niece, Brittany Goss, her nephews: Charles Goss, Wayne Pacheco, her sister-in-law, Nancy Goss, and her stepchildren: Edward J. Burton, Barbara Flanagan and James Burton as well as step grandchildren, great nieces and nephew and many extended family and friends. She was the sister of the late Wayne Goss.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, July 3rd, at 11am in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Rt 44, Greenville. Burial will follow in the RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday, July 2nd, 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Thomas Church Altar Guild, 1 Smith Avenue, Greenville RI 02828
