Nancy V. Cook
1933 - 2025
Nancy V. Cook, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025.
She was born on December 20, 1933 to Harry Seiler and Nancy Hanna in Maryville, Missouri, and later adopted by Drexel Stone.
Throughout her life, Nancy dedicated herself to the well-being of her family and the community. As a homemaker, she created a warm and inviting home where all were welcome. Her involvement in the PTA showcased her commitment to education and her Methodist faith guided her through life.
An avid bowler, Nancy's skill and passion for the sport earned her a spot in the St. Joseph Bowling Hall of Fame. She was known as the neighborhood mother, extending her caring nature to the elders in her area, where she served with the tenderness of a nurse's aide.
She joins in heaven her predeceased family members, including her parents, Harry Seiler and Edith and Drexel Stone, her husband Jim Cook, and her great-grandson AJ Arrioja.
Nancy's legacy is carried on by her children, Jennifer (Jimmy) Wheeler, Craig (Fran) Cook, Clark (Stacey) Cook, Drexel (Jaci) Cook, and James Cook. Her spirit will forever be reflected in the smiles of her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who continue to grow and thrive.
Nancy was a caring and generous person that cared more for others, putting them before herself. Her memory will be cherished and her presence sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services 1:00 P.M., Friday Simplify Cremations & Funerals. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph. Online guest book and obituary at www.simplifyfunerals.com.
