Nancy Faye Fortner Goodman born December 12,1949 to Wade Fortner and Nancy (Welch) Fortner, went home to be with the Lord June 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Nancy was saved at an early age and attended church at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Nancy was a mother to two sons, a wife, a sister, and a good friend to many. In Nancy's early years she was a bell hop at Frostee Freeze in Tazewell, she also drove a school bus for Claiborne County Schools, she worked for Norris Homes delivering motor homes, owned and managed Nancy's Place, owned Triple D Trucking, drove a tour bus for Knoxville Tours, and drove for KAT Public Transportation in Knoxville, Tennessee where she retired. Nancy was a farm girl with a big personality, she was a beacon of kindness, always ready to lend a hand and uplift those around her, embodying the spirit of selflessness.
Nancy was preceded in death by her Husband Ronald Thomas Goodman, parents Wade and Nancy Fortner; Grandparents Lon and Ora Mae Fortner, Marson and Berncey Drummonds Welch; Sister Bonita Gaye Buchanan.
She is survived by her two sons Ronald Timothy Goodman; Christopher Shannon and Tina Goodman. Brother-in-Law Danny (Jeannie) Goodman and Phyllis Givens. Grandchildren Jordan Goodman (Landon Wilhite), Rachel Goodman, and Christopher Nicholas Goodman; Haley (Scott) Reid, Brooke (Josh) Thompson, Michalia (Davis) Fisher and Landon McGinnis; Great grandchildren Tate Wilhite, Nolan Garland, Maeve Garland, Maggie Thompson, Mac Fisher, Judson Fisher, Scottie Claire Fisher and host of nieces and nephews. Nancy also had a very special little dog Brownie, that stayed by her side until she took her last breath.

The family will receive friends on Saturday July 19, 2025, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel.
