Nancy M. Luchsinger, age 81, of Monticello, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Nancy was born on February 24, 1944, in Monroe, the daughter of Robert (Bob) and Viola (Wirth) Holcomb of Monticello.
Nancy grew up in the Monticello area and attended Monticello High School. On December 11, 1965, she married Allen Luchsinger at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. The couple later divorced. Nancy ran the restaurant of her parents' bar and grill (Hokie's Place). She also was employed at UW Health for many years.
Nancy enjoyed living at home with her only grandchild, Austin, and youngest daughter, who took care of her for many years. She also enjoyed dancing, listening to music, going for rides, getting desserts, playing Euchre and other games, and watching TV. She loved chocolate milk, pudding, cookies, candy, ice cream, and anything else chocolate.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Blum (Monroe), David Luchsinger (Monticello), and Susan Luchsinger (Monticello), and grandson Austin Luchsinger (Monticello). She is further survived by her brother Dennis (Diane) Holcomb; sister Shelly Johnson; aunt Fredes Wirth; two nieces; one nephew; and many cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed!
She is preceded in death by her son Scot Luchsinger, mother and father, brother Gary, and sister Patricia.
She was extremely happy to get to watch her grandson, Austin, grow up for nearly 20 years. Nancy will be sadly and deeply missed by so many people!
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 1329 31st Avenue, Monroe. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. on July 12, 2025, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating.
