It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Dorene Pranger at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital on June 22,2025, after a brief illness. Born in Edinburg, Texas on November 16, 1940, Dorene was the only child of Glen Elbert and Nancy Arzalia (Hudspeth) Flohre. She married her husband, Daniel Wayne Pranger, on June 21,1974. They initially lived in Pasadena, Texas. However, DW's job took them to Farmington, New Mexico, Evansville, Indiana and then back home to San Leon, Texas.
In 2001, they retired to Alvin, Texas which is where she resided at the time of her passing.
Dorene was a loving mother and lifelong homemaker. She possessed a strong spirit and a quiet strength, facing life's challenges with grace and resilience. Her positive outlook and unwavering love and faith in God inspired all who knew her.

She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and one grandson.
