Lawrence Wellbank Obituary

Lawrence J. Wellbank, 65, of Dumont, NJ entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 21, 2025. Larry joins loved ones who passed before him including his beloved parents John and Norma Wellbank, his sister Janis and his brother-in-law John Jones.

Larry is survived by his sister Marsha (Robert) Corcoran and his brother Patrick (Arlene) Wellbank. He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and a circle of close friends.

Larry grew up in Rockleigh NJ. He was a graduate of Northern Valley Regional at Old Tappan. Larry approached life with a healthy dose of humor. Even when faced with frustrating challenges, he maintained unwavering optimism. He had a love for classic books, enjoyed playing board games and collecting them, as well as collecting CD's, DVD's and other memorable items.

He lived his life surrounded by a loving network of family and friends. Larry's presence will be truly missed by those who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm smile and kindness, his joyful laugh and his steady presence in the lives of those he loved.

His life was guided by a strong faith in Jesus. He was a member of Living Word Community Church.

Larry will be interred at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee where he will rest with his parents. A private ceremony will be held.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Living Word Community Church, 53 East Madison Avenue, Dumont, NJ.
