It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicky Vera, a long resident of Somerton, Arizona, who left us on June 24, 2025, at the age of 34. Nicky was surrounded by the love and warmth of his devoted mother, sister, and brother.
Nicky was cherished as a kind-hearted son, a loyal brother, and a spirited uncle. His zest for life was evident in his love for fishing, bicycling, reading, and listening to music. Above all, he treasured spending quality time with his dear mother and cherished the moments spent on outings with his nephews.
Nicky dedicated his professional life to serving others, working as a certified nursing assistant throughout Yuma County. In this role, he was known for his compassionate care, providing comfort and assistance to those who were most helpless and fragile. His career was a testament to his selfless nature and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
With a heart as vast as the Arizona skies, Nicky's compassion extended beyond family. He cared deeply for his nephews and the animals he even rescued, and his kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Nicky's legacy of love continues to shine through his generous act of organ donation, a final gift that will bless many lives.
Left to honor Nicky's memory are his dedicated mother, Vicky, his siblings, Becky and Ricky, brother-in-law, Fernando, his loving nephews, Ezekiel, Adriel, Ivan and close family friends.
We invite all who knew Nicky to join us in celebrating his life on Monday, July 7th, 2025, at 9 a.m. The service will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, located at 21809 Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ, 85142.
"I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer."
