Noreen Ann (Joyce) Haskell of North Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on July 8, 2025. She grew up in South Boston, a graduate of South Boston High, proud of her perfect attendance record. Noreen received an Associate Degree from Quincy College.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Claire Joyce of South Boston. Devoted and loving wife of Richard F. Haskell. Loving and cherished mother of Richard F. Haskell, Jr. of South Easton, MA, and his partner Donna Seery, and two grandsons, Jacob O'Neill and Finn Haskell. Also survived by sister Donna Dorrington and her husband Walter of Hull, brother Joseph Joyce and his wife Donna of South Carolina, and sister Kathleen McKinney her husband Scott of Hull.
Noreen truly loved being an aunt to Kate Menard and her husband Douglas of Hull, the late Cassie Dorrington of Hull, Christopher Joyce and his wife Jessica of SC, Kyle Joyce and his wife Victoria of Las Vegas, NV, Elizabeth McKinney and her husband Christopher Pino of Dorchester, Cameron and Kacee McKinney of Hull. Also, one great nephew Coleman Joyce, and four great nieces Kaila Joyce, Claire, Lucy, and Maisie Menard. Also, many lovely cousins and wonderful caring friends.
Noreen worked in various accounting positions in Boston; the primary one was Deloitte (Haskins & Sells) as a bookkeeper for many years. And as Office Manager for the late D. Colm Armstrong M.D. of Braintree, MA before her retirement.
Noreen will fondly be remembered as a woman who enjoyed family and friends. She was a lifelong lover of Boston sports, as well as traveling, especially many cruises to Bermuda in her early years and a recent one in the Caribbean. In recent years she greatly enjoyed trivia at several local restaurants.
Noreen loved sending cards for all celebrations and was a dedicated supporter of various medical and wildlife charities. A lover of animals, especially her sheltie Echo, and later in Life her grandson Jacob's black lab Dragon.
Noreen's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the many caregivers that helped her over the years. Especially Dr. Robert Hallowell, MGH Pulmonary Department, and all the doctors and staff of South Shore Hospital, Weymouth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Services will conclude with interment in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, and in support of her grandson, Finn, donations in Noreen's memory may be made to: Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037.
