Edward Jagelle Obituary

Edward "Ned" Jagelle November 22, 2022 Edward "Ned" Jagelle, 62, of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at Upstate Medical Center after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Edward and Joan (Rohe) Jagelle. Ned grew up in North Syracuse and was a 1978 graduate of Liverpool High School. Upon graduating, he joined the Navy and served proudly for 3 years. As a sailor, he enjoyed traveling the world aboard the USS Blue Ridge primarily located in the Asiatic Pacific and would recount his many exciting adventures. He was a dedicated and loyal employee of Comfort Windows for 34 years. Ned was an avid sports fan who loved watching Syracuse University football and basketball, NASCAR, and his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was devoted to his family and loved family gatherings. He was particularly fond of his nieces and nephews and was the best Uncle they could ever ask for. He was a man of great faith and a longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. Ned leaves behind his four sisters: Mary Pat (David) Franasiak, Karen Jagelle, Teresa (Steven) Duda, and Kay Mazar; his much adored nieces: Alana, Megan, and Erica; nephews: Jason, Brian, Matthew, and Joshua; an aunt, Kathy Byrne; and several cousins. The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Upstate Medical Center for their loving care of Ned during his stay. Also, special thanks to Dave, Bob, and John.
