Ollie A. Bland Jr., 72, died in his sleep on June 29, 2025, at his Eastbrook home. He was born September 23, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Ollie A. and Annie Mae Bland.
Ollie graduated from Lake Taylor High School. He lived in Norfolk, Virginia until 1997 when he made Eastbrook his forever home. He was a scout master in his early years.
Ollie loved being in nature. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and long motorcycle rides. He was a skilled carpenter and made beautiful, hand carved artwork. Ollie loved his coffee, peanut butter crackers, and his cat. He was easy to be around; never met a stranger. He loved Jesus and his family. www.acadiacremation.com

My mom just got back to Norfolk, VA from my home in Bailey, NC and found a note from Brett. So I decided to look up Mr. Ollie´s name to discover that he had passed. My mom is so heartbroken about this. Mr. Ollie was a wonderful friend to my Uncle Buddy(Frank Johnson). I recall seeing him a few times as a young girl at the Lumber Company on Lafayette Blvd. My mom, Marion(Buddy´s sister) would cook sometimes and take them both food. He was always so kind! To the family, I offer my sincere condolences and prayers.
