Otto L. Hackerott was 93 when he passed away on June 27, 2025, at Parkview Care Center in Osborne, KS. Otto was born on August 21, 1931, in Rooks County, KS. His parents were Otto R. and Belle (Mitchell) Hackerott.
Otto attended grade school in Osborne County, KS; started high school in Woodston, KS and graduated from high school in Alton, KS.
Otto went to work with his father in Osborne County learning to operate heavy equipment. In 1951 Otto reported for duty to the United States Air Force. During the next four years he was a Staff Sergeant serving in Germany. Otto then served in the Air Force Reserves until 1959 when he was honorably discharged. Otto returned to operating heavy dirt moving equipment making roads, bridges and dams in Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Otto is survived by sister, Lillie Bristol-Morrill of Portis, KS; niece, Kathy (Steve) Mikkelson of Overbrook, KS; nephew, Mike (Jeanne) Bristol of Osborne, KS; nephew, Eric (Cathy) Bristol of Manhattan, KS; niece, Tina (Rich) Hageman of Norton, KS; nephew, Anthony Hackerott of Osborne, KS; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hackerott of Osborne, KS, niece, Gail (Mark) Miller of Fort Gibson, OK and survived further by other relatives and friends.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents, Otto R. and Belle Hackerott; brother, Jimmy Hackerott; brother, Kenneth Hackerott; nephew, Brian R. Hackerott; and nephew, Daniel Hackerott.
