Pam White Obituary

HORNER CHAPEL - Pamela Sue White, age 68 of Monterey, passed away on July 25, 2025, at WyndRidge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossville. Born on February 17, 1957, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Pamela's vibrant spirit and charismatic personality touched the lives of many throughout her journey.

Pamela dedicated her career to nurturing the minds of young learners within the Cumberland County School system, where her strong-willed and independent nature radiated through. She retired after a 30 year career as an educator.

Beyond her professional achievements, Pamela was passionate about travel and engaged in various hobbies throughout her life, including crochet. Later on, she found joy in painting stones, an activity through which she expressed her creativity and shared her love for art with others.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Rory White, of Monterey, and her devoted daughters, Jann Curry of Cookeville and Lucy Vaden (Paul) of Fort Mill, South Carolina. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to her four grandchildren, Levi, Liza, and Livie Vaden and Charles Trax, who were sources of joy and inspiration throughout her life. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Alexander Byers and her sisters, Jennie Fulkerson, Andrea Johnson, and Janey LaRue, who will all hold her memory close to their hearts.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, William Byers and Bernice Owen, and her brother, Gregory Byers.

A visitation to celebrate Pamela's life will be held on Sunday July 27 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey.

As those who knew her come together to honor her memory, they will surely carry forward her legacy of strength, independence, and joy, keeping her spirit alive in their hearts.
