Pamela Sue McIntyre, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in Marysville, Michigan. A lifelong resident of Yale, Michigan, Pam was born on September 6, 1946, and remained deeply rooted in the community she loved throughout her life.
Pam's devotion to her family was unwavering. She was a constant presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren, always ready with encouragement and support. Whether cheering from the sidelines with her trusty Yale stadium seat or welcoming loved ones into her home-where the door was always open and the cupboards always full-Pam created a warm and nurturing environment that became a cornerstone for generations.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Stacey (John) Donnellon and son, Steve (Nikki) McIntyre; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Sophie) Donnellon, Mark (Madison) Donnellon, Paul Donnellon, Garret Donnellon, Connor Donnellon, Travis McIntyre, John (Katie) McIntyre, Ali (Lynden) Middleton, Brooke McIntyre, and Emma McIntyre; and great-grandchildren, Carter McIntyre, Luke Middleton, and one on-the-way. Pam also leaves behind her sisters, Linda (Keith) Lossing and Louanne (Jim) Worton; sisters-in-law, Ruth McIntyre and Jan McIntyre; along with many extended family members who were touched by her kindness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years Larry McIntyre; sister, Diane Kettlewell; sisters-in-law, Ceil Liebler and Pat McIntyre; and brothers-in-law, Joe and Mike McIntyre.
For over three decades, Pam operated Pam's Powder Puff salon-a local institution where she not only styled hair but also built lasting friendships. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched by her commitment to community involvement. An avid bowler herself, Pam sponsored bowling teams as well as softball teams through Yale Rec. Her enthusiasm for local sports extended beyond sponsorships-she was a familiar face at games across town.
Pam found joy in simple pleasures: crocheting intricate patterns with care, painting, basket weaving, collecting pine cones during walks outdoors, or quietly watching for deer in the countryside she called home. These hobbies reflected her appreciation for nature's beauty and life's quieter moments.
Affectionately known as "Gram," Pam leaves behind a legacy defined by love of family and dedication to community. Her life was a testament to generosity, loyalty, and enduring support-a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
May Pamela Sue McIntyre's memory bring comfort to those who loved her and serve as a reminder of the power of presence, kindness, and unwavering familial love. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kaatz Funeral Directors, 10 S. Main Street, Yale, MI. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM.
