Patricia Jean Hooser, age 84, of Grapeland passed away peacefully Saturday,July 26, 2025. Pat was born January 26, 1941 in San Gabriel Precinct; Los Angeles County, CA to parents, John Edwin Gorrell and Doris Keen Engelauf Gorrell. She was a graduate of La Puente Union High School. She was awarded a certificate in vocal music

Pat became a telephone operator after she graduated from high school and later worked in the District school kitchen, cooking meals for all the schools in Suisun, CA. She enjoyed playing the piano and the accordion and sang in a women's choir for her church in Roswell, NM. Pat loved crocheting, and most of all loved baking cookies with her grandkids every Christmas and spending time with her family and friends was her most cherished moments. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Grapeland.

Pat is survived by daughters, Vickie Cioli and husband, Bob of Grapeland, Terry Duval and husband, Steve of Grapeland, Tammy Akins of Grapeland; grandchildren, Nicole Cioli of CA, Erika Cioli of CA, Alex Cioli and wife, Brenda of CA, Elise Stickrod and husband, Jayson of Leander, Sean Stephan and wife, Jenna of Douglas, Katie Mills of Grapeland, Kristie Wilson and Trey Lambright of Grapeland, Scottland Duval and Lindsey Shuart of Maypearl, Jessie Akins of CA; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister, Barbara Richards and husband, Dale of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Grace Hooser of San Diego, CA, sister-in-law Brenda Gorrell of CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Hooser April 24, 2001; parents, John and Doris Gorrell; brothers, George Gorrell, and Mike Gorrell; brothers-in-law, Bob Hooser and Gene Hooser.

Funeral services for Pat Hooser will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Josh Mills officiating. Burial will be at the Memory Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
