Funeral services for Patricia "Pat" Hawkins Book, 77, of Jonesville, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 10AM with Rev. Ellis Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 5PM until 7PM.
Pat was born on Monday, April 5, 1948 in Kennett, MO and passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 in Monroe, LA. Pat was a lifelong churchgoer and a devoted member of Community of Christ in West Monroe. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, and she found joy and purpose in worship and fellowship. She loved her church family and served faithfully with a kind and generous spirit.Pat was a hardworking woman who dedicated over 44 years of her life to Catahoula Bank. Her strong work ethic and commitment earned the respect and admiration of all who worked with her. Outside of work, Pat cherished the simple joys of life. She loved taking shopping trips to Alexandria with her mother, creating memories that lasted a lifetime. More than anything, she loved traveling with her beloved husband, Roger-whether it was a quick getaway or a long adventure, being with him made every trip special. Pat had a deep love for her family and especially adored her nieces and nephews. She never missed a chance to spend time with them, always showing up with a smile and a kind heart. Family meant everything to her, and her presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. Pat's life was marked by devotion, love, and a legacy of hard work.
She is reunited with her husband, Roger Dale Book and parents, Elbert A. Hawkins and Maurene Haraway Hawkins.
Those left behind to cherish Pat's memories are her brother, Don Hawkins & his wife Sonja of Monroe, LA and JC Hawkins & his wife Darlene of Ferriday, LA; niece, Stephanie Longino & her husband David; nephews, Joey Hawkins & his wife Kim, Steven Hawkins & his wife Tonya, and Jacob Hawkins & Alexis Yates; great-nieces & nephews, Victoria Turner & her husband Billy, Jessica Hawkins, Ben Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Natalie Hawkins, and Nate Hawkins; and a host of family and friends.
Those honoring Pat as pallbearers will be Joey, Steven, Jacob, Jack, Nate, and Billy.
Honoray pallbearers are David, Jessica, Ben, and Harold Book, Jr.
