Patricia Ellison Obituary

Patricia Edwards Ellison, 83, of Norfolk, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025. She was born in Norfolk on June 9, 1942 to Prince A. Edwards and Georgia Richardson. She was raised in the Bayview area of Norfolk and attended Granby High School where she graduated in 1960. In 1974 she was married to Ronald Ellison and together enjoyed 46 years of marriage raising four children. She worked for VEPCO, Borden Chemicals, and APM Terminals as an office manager and a bookkeeper. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and porcelain doll making.
Pat was an active disciple of the Lord, worshiping at Ocean View Baptist and later at Azalea Baptist Churches.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Prince Jr., her husband Ron, her children Kendall and Wesley, and her nephew, Tim.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Chuck Shuman, Pete (and Amy) Ellison; nieces Lisa (and Ray) Soblotne, Amy (and Pat) Myers, and Melissa (and Paul) Franzmeier; and nephew Brent Ellison. She is also fondly remembered by 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at Azalea Baptist Church, 3314 East Little Creek Road in Norfolk on Friday April 11th. The viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn in Norfolk.
