Patricia Ann Furlong, age 71, passed away peacefully in the place she loved most, the serene waters of the St. Croix River.
Pat was born on November 10th, 1953, to Arlita and Louis Furlong in St. Paul, MN. She attended school at Archbishop Murray in Maplewood, MN and graduated in 1971.
Following her high school graduation, Pat went on to work many jobs including lineman, UPS driver and modeling leathers for Drag Specialties where she met her husband, Thomas Rudd. She and her husband eloped in Kauai, HI and went on to build a successful aftermarket motorcycle parts company starting out of their garage, all while pouring her heart into raising her two children and being the best mom anyone could ever hope for. Her devotion to family and helping others was the center of her world. Pat and Tom shared 44 beautiful years together, as Tom would say, "the best years of his life spent alongside his kindred spirit".
There was nothing Mom couldn't do whether it was animal trapping, riding motorcycles, hunting, kayaking, water skiing, downhill skiing, or paddleboarding. Her favorite memories were spent outdoors amongst nature with her family. Mom had a heart of gold, a contagious smile, loved to make others laugh with her silly personality and made anyone who knew her feel like family.
She was deeply loved and will be forever cherished by her husband Thomas Rudd; her son Aero Rudd (Kelsey); her daughter Azura Riley (James) and beloved granddaughter, Alanna Riley. She is also survived by her siblings Louis Jr., Marty, Joan, Diane, Carrie, and Elizabeth. Preceded in death by Arlita, Louis and Zulay Furlong.
Mom always lived life to the fullest and loved with her whole heart, one of her favorite quotes being, "Make the call. Send the message. Hug them tight and often. Nothing lasts forever - so love louder, hold closer, and soak it all up while you can."
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00pm, with a service to follow at 4:00pm. All are welcome to attend and honor Patricia’s incredible life, and the light she brought into the world.
Though our hearts are heavy by her sudden passing, we take comfort in knowing her spirit will forever flow through the waters of the St. Croix.
