Patricia A. Rogers
My lovely wife, Patricia, slipped into the arms of her loving Savior on Monday, July 14th. Patricia was born in Waterville, Maine on June 27th, 1941, the daughter of the late David E. and Inez M. Rogers. After graduating from Waterville High School in 1959 she enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at McChord AFB in Washington. She served active duty for approximately 16 months and later in life served 11 years in the Air National Guard in South Portland as a Communications Specialist. While on active duty she met and married the late Jon Allen and moved to Arizona with their four children and she began her career as a Cosmetologist.
In 1973 Pat and her children moved back to Maine, raising her children near family and continuing her career. Pat worked at Zodiac Salon in Waterville until opening her own salon, "A Touch of Class," in Oakland. In 1983 Pat began her 20-year career at JC Penney styling salon in Waterville, retiring in 2003. Pat continued to care for her lifelong clients at "Salon Shalom," from her home in Vassalboro.
In 1986 Pat reunited with the love of her life Stephen Rogers. Their marriage blended with a family of six children: two boys and four girls. During this time, she and Steve were in full time ministry for 30 years at the North Vassalboro Baptist Church.
Pat enjoyed traveling to the mid-west, the south, Canada, Germany, and Israel. Her favorite being long rides with Steve throughout the state of Maine. Pat shared the joy of music, singing, dancing, and entertaining with her sense of humor. Her most precious times were spent with family, including eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren who all knew her as Nuna.
Pat was predeceased by her daughter Judi Lynn Olanovich, son Mark E. Lancaster II and numerous uncles and aunts. She is survived by her husband Stephen Rogers, her son Jon Charles Allen II and wife Lori, her daughter Heidi Allen, daughter Melissa Ann Delaney and husband Tim, and daughter Melissa Marie Rogers. Pat is also survived by her sister Judy Davis and husband Tom, brother David Rogers and wife Celeste, her sister Cindy Grasse and husband Shawn, and daughter in law Satoko Lancaster.
Her grandchildren are Jeremiah (Luvi), Samantha, CJ (Kayla), Tyler, Casey, Bethany, Randy, Heath, Lucas (Ryan), Rachel (Kyle), Katie (Joe), Alexandra (Trea), Haley, Renoa (Laine), Michael, Evelyn, Alec, and Kiera. Her great grandchildren are Charlie, Callum, Nya, Jax, Anora, A'Svefia, Mason, Sariha, Xavier, Charlie, Maggie, and Penney.
There will be a time of visitation at Gallants Funeral Home in Waterville on Tuesday, July 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8. Her Celebration of Life will be held at the North Vassalboro Baptist Church on August 16th at 1:30. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. An online guestbook may be signed, condolences and memories shared at www.gallantfh.com.

Such a wonderful, rich and beautiful Life. A life full of love and life. A joyous life. I remember Pat as always by Steve´s side with that smile and that sparkle in her eye, always supporting Steve. A smart, quick-witted lady whom I will miss, knowing she will be gone from this earth for a while. Such a sad/happy time. Missing her with sadness but so glad she is with her Jesus and her family and friends who are with their Jesus in heaven. Before she embarked on her God-journey home, I had opportunity to speak to her up close and personal. Her eyes lit up when she heard my voice and saw me and said, "I love you" right back to me. That smile. That little-bit-of mischeif smile. I really believe she was thinking, "Ha, I´ll be there before you". These memories make me smile.
