Patricia H. Schaller, age 82, of Goshen, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of December 3, 2024.
Born Patricia Helen Melenchek in 1942 in New York City, she was the oldest daughter of Stephen and Helen Melenchek and sister to Carol.
Patricia married her childhood sweetheart Kurt Schaller in 1962 and soon started their family.
She continued her college education and received her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. Patricia was employed by the State of New York as a social worker for the Developmentally Disabled residents of Letchworth Village. Her work and caring for her clients earned her recognition by the Governor's Board for the Developmentally Disabled and later served on the board.
Patricia is a veteran of the United States Navy and served on active duty from 1960 to 1962.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Kurt A. Schaller and is survived by her children Stephen Schaller and wife Michele, Paul Schaller and wife Julie, and Kurt Schaller and wife Maria; as well as her grandchildren: Justin, Trevor, Samantha, Zac, Jessica and Val.
Patricia shall be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
