Patricia Ann Endres was born to Alphonse and Serena (Greiner) Endres on August 31, 1933, in Luxemburg, IA. She attended St. John the Baptist School in Bluffton, MN through the eighth grade. On June 12, 1951, Patricia married Nicholas "Nick" Schmitz, Jr, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. They made their home east of Wadena and raised their family of seven children.
