Patricia Seger Obituary

Patricia A. Seger of Mahopac, NY, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 23, 1937, Patricia's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her country. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Patricia's life was one of service and dedication. As a past officer, soloist, and veterans representative of the Brewster Elks Lodge 2101, she embodied the spirit of community and patriotism. Her voice, both literally and figuratively, was a source of comfort and inspiration to many. She was also an honorary member of VFW Post 5491 in Mahopac, and a volunteer at Putnam Hospital Center. She believed in service to others and made it a cornerstone of her life.
Above all, Patricia cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and true matriarch of her family. She is survived by her sons, Victor, Steven, and Michael (Belinda); her siblings Richard and Anita; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Jean (née Didio) Sanchez, and her sister, Joann.
All are welcome to attend a visitation on Tuesday, July 8th from 3-8PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. The funeral service will also be held on July 8th at 7:30PM during the visitation. Private cremation will follow.
