Patricia Simington Obituary

Patricia Kay Jones-Simington daughter of the late James Dobbins Sr. and Teresa Dobbins (Jackson), was born November 2, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio. Patricia, who was best known as Pat, was educated and received her diploma at the John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Patricia grew up on East 143rd Street in Cleveland, Ohio with her three siblings James Dobbins Jr., Roger Dobbins, and Darlene Dobbins-Cobb.
In her younger years Patricia, James Jr., and her cousins enjoyed roller skating, dancing, bicycle riding, and swimming at Woodhill Park.
In June 1968, Patricia married Charles Jones, they welcomed Kay Marie in July 1968. Kay Marie passed shortly after in August 1968. On March 1st, 1972, Patricia and Charles welcomed Patrice.
Patricia graduated from the Cuyahoga Community College earning an Associates of Applied Science, specializing in Radiology. Patricia's first job after graduating was at the office of Dr. Sachs and Ross of the Cedar/Fairmount area.
On October 26, 1991 Patricia was united in holy matrimony to Charles Simington.
In her later years Patricia attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Bedford, Ohio. Patricia frequented the passage of Psalms 37:1-10.
Patricia worked in Radiology at Dr. Sachs and Ross, St. Lukes Hospital, and Neon Healthcare for over 35 years until retiring as an Xray Technician in 2017.
In her later years you could find Patricia watching Tubi, Netflix, or staying up watching and commenting on everyone's Facebook page.
Affectionately known as Pat, Ma, Mom, and Grandma Pat. Patricia was very involved in the lives of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-children. You could find her cheering them on at performances and activities. Patricia departed this life naturally in her home on June 23, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Dobbins Sr. and Teresa Dobbins (Jackson); Daughter Kay Marie Jones; Sister in Law Judyith Dobbins.
She leaves a legacy of faith and to cherish her memory to her Husband, Charles Simington; Daughter, Patrice Ashford (Clifton Sr.);Grandchildren, Clifton Ashford Jr. and Andrew Ashford; Great-Grandchildren, Jeremiah and Julioanna Ashford; Siblings, James Jr. (Jeannette), Roger (Judy), and Darlene; A host of nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
