Happily married to Lt. Col. James "Ed" Yates for 57 years having traveled the world locally & internationally including Hawaii, Japan, Italy and stateside in New Jersey, Tennessee, Washington, DC and eventually retiring in Orlando, Florida.
Pat lived with her daughter & family in Aurora, enjoying great Chicago Style Pizza and the peace & natural beauty that surrounded her!
Recently, she treasured her time at Lake Murray SC, where she and Ed had spent special getaways & family reunions.
With her grace and charm and her bounding love and sense of humor, she touched the heart of everyone she met.
Pat is survived by son, Dean Yates, daughter Karen "KB" Bowman, son-in-law Steve Bowman, grandson Dana E Bowman, & wife Joiya, grandson Brenden Bowman, & granddaughter Holly Zapata, grandson Choice Edward Yates & Great-grandson Jianni Zapata.
A memorial service will be held on September 18, 2025 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. Welcoming arrivals at 2 PM and Service begins at 3pm. Following the Service there will be a Celebration of life (details to follow).
Requesting no flowers please, however donations in her honor to Veterans or First Responders, would be greatly appreciated.
