Patricia Joan Zachary, age 89, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Casey Rehab and Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born December 8, 1935 in Marshall, IL, the daughter of Fenton Olin Collier and Fay Louise (Romoser) Collier. On September 3, 1954 she married William F. "Bill" Zachary in Hernando, MS. He passed away on October 22, 1967.
Survivors include her son, Larry E. Zachary of Martinsville, IL; grandson, Lucas Zachary of Atlanta, GA; sister, Phyllis Higginbotham (Charles) of Martinsville, IL; many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Joshua Logan; brothers, Norman Collier and Fenton Gene Collier and sister, Norma Stewart.
Pat was a lifelong resident of Martinsville, IL and was proud to obtain her GED in her 30's. Pat worked at TRW in Marshall for many years as a line worker. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, and especially enjoyed making fudge.
Graveside service and burial will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL with Rev. Adrian Piazza officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 295, Casey, IL 62420.
