Patsy Clark Obituary

Patsy Ann Clark was born July 19, 1943 in Tuscumbia, Missouri to Arthur E. and Dorothy Wilson Burks. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years and two days. Patsy was raised in the Tuscumbia area where she graduated high school. While working at a diner there, she met her true love and best friend, Floyd "Bud" Clark. They were married on September 22, 1960 and shared sixty-four years of love and precious memories before he passed away in August of 2024. Following her marriage to Bud, they located to Kansas City and then to Springfield before making their home in Lebanon. They owned and operated Clark Hardware Store in Lebanon and Patsy assisted Bud in running the store. Patsy's love of children gave her the dedication and patience to operate a daycare for some thirty years. She opened her heart and home to many children, and rocked many babies to sleep. She was loved by so many children. Patsy had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Church of Christ in Lebanon. She enjoyed her church family and serving in several areas at the church. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Burks; her husband, Floyd "Bud" Clark; three brothers, Dexter, Jerry and Alan Burks; and two sisters, Dixie Barnhardt and Mildred Holtmeyer. She is survived by three sons, Gene Clark and his wife Belinda, Scott Clark and his wife Jan, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Bob Clark of Russellville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Katlyn, Brittney, Hannah and Selbi; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Alexa and Cohen and Milo; and a special nephew, who she considered as her little brother, Bill Burks and his wife Toni; as well as other relatives and friends. Patsy loved animals and enjoyed reading John Gresham books. Most of all, she loved her family. She always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Patsy was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them. Graveside service for Patsy Clark will be Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mount Rose Memorial Park. Friends may call at their convenience. A memorial to Fair Haven Children's Home has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
