After a long battle with dementia, Patti Davis Huehn passed away on June 26, 2025. She was born Patti Reagan Davis on March 16, 1942, in Beeville, Texas, the youngest of four sisters. The family lived in Oakville, Texas, until 1954 when they moved to Beeville. They moved into a two-story house on the corner of E. Corpus Christi St. and N. Adams St. Her father, Buford Marion Davis, suffered from tuberculosis, so her mother, Ruth Caroline Reagan Davis, tended to the family on the top floor and ran the Ruth Davis dress shop with her four girls on the lower floor.
She graduated from A.C. Jones High School in Beeville in 1960 and attended Trinity University in San Antonio. She married Kelvin Wayne Huehn in 1963 and lived in Beeville, where their oldest son, Jeffrey Alan Huehn, was born in 1964. After a brief stint in Monterey, California, they moved back to Beeville, where their second son, Joel Richard Huehn, was born in 1967. They then moved to Orange Park, Florida, where they lived until divorcing in 1980. In Orange Park, Patti began a career in real estate, which she continued when she moved back to San Antonio in 1983. She moved to Beeville in 1997 to help care for her ailing mother and went to work in the District Attorney’s Office. After her mother passed, she moved back to San Antonio in 2009 to work with her sons at Joel’s fledgling veterinary practice, the Boerne Stage Veterinary Clinic in Leon Springs, until her retirement.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Buford Davis and Ruth Davis Turner, and two older sisters, Virginia (Davis) Schneider and Marion (Davis) Sehlke. She is survived by one older sister, Beverly (Davis) Kapelle, two sons, Jeffrey Huehn and Joel (Sheri) Huehn, and her two granddaughters, Finley and Ella.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 2, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Beeville Presbyterian Church, 908 N. Washington St., Beeville, TX 78102.
