She grew up in and graduated from Mexia High School and then went to Navarro College. Mrs. Patti married the love of her life, Bobby Miller, on August 31, 1973. Patti and Bobby moved to Henderson in 1976, when Bobby was transferred to Martin Lake Power Plant through his company, Texas Utilities. Patti owned and operated Rusk County Realty in Henderson and was a Realtor and Broker in Henderson for over forty years. Patti was very involved in her community. She was a very active member in the Kiwanis Club– serving as secretary and treasurer for many years. She was the secretary for the Rusk County Soil and Water Board for numerous years, as well. Patti loved volunteering at Henderson ISD schools on many occasions. Patti had a huge heart for helping children, especially those that are disadvantaged. This was evidenced by her teaching Junior Achievement and helping out with the Little Eagles program through local schools. Patti was always busy both in and out of her profession. Her "Red Carpet Service" was known by thousands of Rusk County area residents as she placed them in their new dream homes. She even helped and managed real estate properties for various clients over the years. Patti was a "go getter," had a strong work ethic, was admired and loved by many who met her. Patti was a successful businesswoman in the Henderson community who always conducted herself and business with honesty and integrity. Patti was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson and enjoyed fellow-shipping with her ladies Agape Sunday School Class. Patti loved being with her special friend group "The Golden Girls" gang and going out to eat with them and socializing!
Patti is survived by: her daughter, Kerri Nichols and her husband Brian of Mt. Pleasant and her son, Brian Miller and his wife Meredith of Houston. Patti had 4 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, who called her "Gogi.": Luke (20) and Bethani (17) Nichols of Mt. Pleasant, and Emma Grace (15) and Blake Miller (12) of Houston.
