Paul Brashears Obituary

Adler Brashears, a true cowboy at heart and beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, and the age of 71.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 27, 2025 in the First Methodist Church in Shamrock with Jeremiah Soto and J.W. Lane, officiating. Burial will follow in Erick Cemetery in Erick, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Adler was born on April 21st, 1954, in Wellington, Texas. Adler lived a life defined by hard work, love, and generosity. Whether he was out tending to his cattle, sharing stories over a cup of coffee, or lending a hand to anyone in need. Adler embodied the spirit of the West- honest, loyal, and the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who found his greatest joy in his family. His laughter, storytelling, and steady presence were the heart of every gathering. Alder loved the simple things- a good time, a wide-open pasture, and time spent with the people he cherished most.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and LD Brashears; his wife, Barbara Brashears; his daughter, Sabrina Brashears; a brother, Truman Brashears; and his sisters, Shirley LeBlanc and Phyllis Brashears Snider.
Adler leaves behind his son, Jason Brashears and wife Shelle of Emmett, ID; his step daughter, Ashley Reeder and husband Brad of Shamrock; his sisters, Sudie Brashears of Shamrock and Kay Martin and husband Robert of Las Vegas, Nevada; his grandchildren, Ellea and Kayla Brashears and Kyleigh and Desha Reeder; and several nieces and nephews.
Though his boots may rest, the trails he rode and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. His kindness, strength, and cowboy spirit will live on in all who knew him.
