Paul Duane Deal, of Ogilvie, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at The Rusheba – Station Assisted Living in Rush City. He was 93 years old.

Paul was born on July 23, 1931, in Corsica, South Dakota, to Howard Sr. and Johanna (Van Houte) Deal. Later that same year, the family moved to the Glen area of Aitkin County, Minnesota. Paul attended Glen, North, and Eastwood country schools before graduating from Isle High School.

On January 16, 1951, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was stationed overseas as a tank mechanic and driver and later transitioned into the combat infantry. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on January 18, 1953.

Paul enjoyed a 41-year career in the trucking industry, working for several companies until his retirement in 1994. He and Marge cherished their life together on the farm in Ogilvie, where Paul found joy in caring for the lawn and making his favorite sun tea. He was a devoted husband and loved spending time with family and friends. His family held a special place in his heart, especially his grandchildren. Paul was known for his warm personality, gift of storytelling, and his genuine interest in those around him. He was a proud and longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ogilvie American Legion.
