He was born Friday March 15, 1957, at Newport News, VA, a son of the late John Jacob Gsell, Sr. and Helen Corbett Gsell.
Surviving are one brother, John Jacob Gsell and wife Teresa of Parsons; two sisters, Mary Helen Myers and husband Dennis of Knoxville, TN and Kay Justice and husband Billy of Newport News, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are one brother, David Bruce Gsell; and one sister, Patty Dunn.
He was a graduate of Ferguson High School in Newport News, VA. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was a Store Manager of several grocery stores in the Newport News area. He enjoyed puzzles, board games, cats, was an excellent cook and loved watching football.
Cremation will be honored. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and burial will be held at the Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, VA.
