Paul was born on August 30, 1963, the son of Constance Kay (Sampson) Southworth and the late Paul H. Southworth Sr.
He graduated from West Boylston High School in 1981, where he played varsity baseball. Paul worked for Red Cab Co. for 30 years. He was an avid hockey fan who played for both Youth and Adult hockey leagues. He was a big bad Boston Bruins fan his entire life.
Paul's passions in life were spending summer days at Misquamicut Beach, always being on point with weather predictions and cooking for his loved ones. He had seen Deep Purple, his favorite hard rock band, thirty-seven times.
Paul is survived by his mother Constance, his son Derek, his grandson Gabriel, and his best friend in life, Deborah Benson. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Kevin P. Southworth.
Paul will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A private burial was held at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury, MA

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Paul. We played ice hockey together for quite sometime & Paul was an Awesome player as well as a wonderful person & big hearted hockey friend. My heart goes out to the family & ofcourse to his long time girlfriend Deborah. Paul will never be forgotten & will always be in my heart until we meet again.

Bruins games just won't be the same without Paul. I'll never forget every time he came to see me, he brought me an iced coffee, whether or not I wanted one that day :) I would have to warn him before we started a conversation that I only had five minutes, and then before you knew it, 3 hours breezed by. He would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone. They don't make them like Paul anymore and he is the most unique and warm hearted person I've ever met in my life.
