Paula Jean Cordo, 85 of Odem, Texas was called home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2025.
Paula was born in San Perlita, Texas in 1939 to Alma (Adams) and Albert Bristol. Paula was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas attended and graduated from Tuloso Midway High School, then attended Del Mar College and began her studies in Nursing. Upon graduating she accepted her first position at Memorial Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist and then grew in her role to become an LVN.
Preceded in death by her husband: Russell Cordo, Sr.; parents: Albert and Alma Bristol; brother: James Bristol, Sr.; nephew: James Bristol, Jr.; and niece: Loretta Berry.
Survived and lovingly remembered by her son: Russell Cordo (Diana); daughter: Lisa Cotham (Steve); grandchildren: Mandy Benavidez (Jessie), Steven Cotham (Cathy), Jennifer Cordo and Alexis Saldana; great-grandchildren: Jackson Benavidez, Anya Benavidez, Jason Cotham, Travis Cotham and Logan Cotham; and sister: Betty Shay.
Paula was a devoted Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended Odem Church of Christ and took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over her. She enjoyed bible study and sharing the word of the Lord. She loved participating in livestock shows where she showed her beautiful rabbits. She spent her past time with her friends, family and church. Paula will be remembered for her faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, her desire to help others and her beautiful smile.
